The role of the shadow of Acupuncture Healing – Part One

The concept of the shadow at the center of a large number of indigenous shamanic healing therapies of modern psycho-analytical work of Carl Jung. In the new age world, it can be quite dark and confused, because traditionally the “healer” is someone who travels into the dark realm of the name is healed. But it’s really not as mystical – and when it is understood – can be an excellent organizational tool for understanding the journey of healing.

You can not discuss the health of modern man, without regard to their environment. All day, every day since birth, we asked for information or stimuli, often in direct conflict with our ideals, beliefs or the way we process. Offer to protect us from going crazy, our mind creates a reservoir that does not fit our environment. Nothing in this reservoir until it was severely condemned by ourselves or others.

I would go one step further and say that within this reservoir, the unresolved trauma, feeling too hard. All trauma requires a full version, so it does not affect our health – the perfect way to feel the pain. At birth, these properties were prepared and ready to be used to our way of life. They are specially designed for us – to help us. They are our allies and we need them.

In my acupuncture practice I have seen that deep healing occurs during the process of acupuncture for various reasons. One of the main reasons I watch is because I practice in New York City, during the acupuncture, people are taken outside of linear time. They released the three-dimensional world of deadlines and requirements and responses.

The key phrase that I took in acupuncture school, when one of my teachers said was: “Illness helps us manifest our destiny.” I love this idea. Your symptoms are your guides. Love them. Honor them. They are always there to push with more joy, more creativity and a closer alignment of who you are.
